April 19th, 2013 - ERG renews agreement with Syracuse National Institute of Ancient Drama (INDA)
ERG has been a sponsor of the INDA Foundation since 2009 and has recently signed an agreement to renew its partnership with the Institute, which promotes classical culture and has staged a large number of Greek theatrical festivals at the Teatro Greco in Syracuse since 1914.
The ERG Group, the only private sector partner of the non-profit INDA Foundation, will act as sponsor until 2015. The agreement is renewed in the year the Institute celebrates the 100th anniversary of its foundation and the Teatro Greco in Syracuse will be staging its 49th festival of Greek theatre from 11 May to 23 June, with performances of Sophocles’ “Oedipus the King” and “Antigone”, plus “A Parliament of Women” by Aristophanes.

November 27th, 2012 - ISAB Energy at Priolo (SR), Saturday 1st December: Electricity Day
Final year students from six technical schools in the province of Syracuse will take part in the Electricity Day held at the ISAB Energy site in Priolo (Syracuse) on Saturday 1st December.
October 30th, 2012 – Advanced training for ERG employees on "Leg. Decree 81/08 and State-Regions Agreement”
On Thursday 25 October at Club ERG in Syracuse, 40 ERG employees took part in a training seminar together with speaker Prof. Raffaele Guariniello, Coordinator of the Health and Safety Group at the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office, on employee safety issues, the supervisory bodies and inspection procedures, and the delegation of roles; public and criminal liability and insurance coverage; the “administrative responsibility of legal persons, companies and associations, also devoid of judicial responsibility” as per Leg. Decree no. 231/2001 as amended; and business qualification systems.
October 6th, 2012 - ISAB Energy Services, continuing along the path of improvement
In late September, ISAB Energy Services was subject to an audit to evaluate the Environmental Management System’s compliance with the UNI EN 14001 standard. Over the three days, with the support of the various company departments the auditors examined all operating and management processes, procedures and documentation relating to environmental issues. The visit concluded without any “non-compliances” being verified and with noteworthy results in terms of waste management.

October 5th, 2012 - ERG partner of Youth and Sports activities at 52nd Genoa Boat Show (6 - 14 October 2012)
This partnership, consistent with the CSR activities relating to the younger generation and sport, forms part of the "Navigar m'è dolce" project and involves a number of activities such as the ‘Christening of the Yacht’ and the meteorology, environmental education and marine biology workshops run by WWF Italia.
October 3rd, 2012 - ERG at VGR Conference (Pisa, 3 - 5 October 2012)
ERG will be participating in the seventh VGR (Risk Evaluation and Management in civil and industrial settings) conference, the biannual congress that will be held in Pisa on 3-5 October 2012. The VGR conference is one of the most important national events on safety issues, an excellent opportunity to bring the academic world, industry and the authorities together under the same roof.

» July 11th, 2012 - ERG and IREN Mercato together for Vernazza
The project to install a methane gas pipeline in the Municipality of Vernazza, donated by ERG and IREN Mercato, was presented at the head offices of the Region of Liguria. Those in attendance included Regional Environment Councillor, Renata Briano, the mayor of Vernazza, Vincenzo Resasco, vice chairman ERG Renew, Vittorio Garrone, and CEO of IREN, Valter Pallano.
The new methane gas network in Vernazza, which also includes the town of Corniglia, will replace the LNG network destroyed by the floods of October 2011; it will be 11 km long, serving 706 users, and from a technical point of view will facilitate the management process and provide greater guarantees in terms of safety and the continuity of supplies.
» July 6th, 2012 - ERG and ISAB present "Progetto Survivors"
On 12 July 2012 the “Progetto Survivors” project, which forms part of the local Social Responsibility activities that ERG carries out together with Iren, will be presented at the Representative Office of the Province of Syracuse.
Dedicated to cancer survivors, “Progetto Survivors” is the result of a three-year partnership between ERG, ISAB and the Syracuse LHA, and represents the continuation of the project to develop an Oncological Assistance Network that ERG has been working on over the last three years. The event will be attended by vice chairman of ERG, G. Mondini, General Manager of ISAB, J. Nixon, General Manager of the Syracuse LHA, F. Maniscalco, and the head physician of the Oncology Department of the Syracuse LHA, P. Tralongo.
» May 29th, 2012 - ERG at "Dal Dire al Fare" (From Saying to Doing)
ERG will be at the eighth edition of the “Dal Dire al Fare" (From Saying to Doing) Corporate Social Responsibility Fair, which will take place on 30th and 31st May 2012 at Milan’s Bocconi University (Via Roentgen). ERG’s presence at the show will be connected with the theme "Relations": as part of the special events it was holding the presentation “Social Integration of Diversity: the ERG experience", with two case studies, Dialogue in the Dark and the San Giovanni project.
March 18th, 2013 – Presentation of the ERG ISAB Syracuse Yearbook
Friday 15 March saw the presentation of the fifth edition of the ERG ISAB Syracuse Yearbook.Presented by the ERG Group Chairman Edoardo Garrone and by ISAB S.r.l. General Manager John Nixon, the volume was created as part of the social responsibility activities carried out by ERG and ISAB in Sicily and contains information on what has happened throughout 2012 plus news about the province of Syracuse from 2008 to 2012. The presentation also featured the discussion “Organised Governance as a Tool for New Social and Economic Development” with the participation of ERG Renew Deputy Chairman Vittorio Garrone and ISAB General Manager John Nixon, as well as Carlo Trigilia, professor of Economic Sociology at the University of Florence, and Bruno Marziano, Chairman of the Committee for Productive Activities of the Sicilian Regional Assembly.
