Paolo Merli – Head of Corporate Finance, Control & Investor Relations – ERG Group
Born in Milan on 24/06/1971, in March 1996 Paolo graduated with a degree in Electric Engineering from the University of Pavia. After completing his compulsory civil service with the Italian Red Cross, in June 1998 he obtained a Master’s Degree from ENI’s Scuola Superiore Enrico Mattei. He joined ERG Group in September 2006 and is responsible for the activity of Corporate Finance & Investor Relations within the Administration Finance and Control Department.
Other past assignments
Previously, he worked for 7 years as an equity analyst covering the oil&gas sector at Intermonte, a leading brokerage firm owned by the Monte dei Paschi di Siena Banking Group. While at Intermonte he also acted as Specialist for ERG stock in the STAR segment.
Between 1998 and 2000 Paolo was part of the marketing department at Snam S.p.A (current G&P division) within the ENI Group.
Sport
In his spare time he is an avid sports fan, with a keen interest in cycling (road and mountain bike) and cross-country skiing.
