Governance

Born in Pesaro on 2 March 1950, married with two daughters.

Graduated in 1973 with top marks in Law.

He started his professional career in the oil sector in 1976 when he joined Covengas/Covencom, a company selling LPG and fuel under the IP (Italiana Petroli) trademark. Initially he held the position of area manager for the Triveneto region, later becoming Managing Director of the A.L.I. affiliated company in Genoa.

In 1985, he joined Agip Petroli/Italiana Petroli (Eni Group), remaining there until March 2010, where he held the following positions over the years:

• Manager for heating and innovative services – IP
• Manager of the IP/Amga Association (municipal Gas and Water company in Genoa) – IP
• Branch manager for the Triveneto region – IP
• Central sales wholesale network manager – IP
• Italian network manager – IP
• IP trademark division manager – AgipPetroli
• Director of lubricants and special products business – AgipPetroli
• Wholesale director – AgipPetroli
• Corporate planning manager for the IP trademark – AgipPetroli
• General director and board member of IP – Eni R&M
• Sales director for Italy – Eni R&M
• Foreign sales director – Eni R&M
• Director of strategic planning – Eni R&M

He has also been a:

• Member of the Steering Committee of the Unione Petrolifera Italiana (Italian Oil Union)
• Member of the Board of Directors of Praoil Oleodotti Italiani – Genoa
