Supply to the outlets in the Retail and Wholesale networks is guaranteed by the output from the refineries as well as by the purchase, on the national and international markets, of products which are then transported to the depots by sea or by oil pipeline.

Overall, around 6 million tonnes of products are handled each year, 50% of which are from the output of the refineries and the remaining 50% from trade relations (purchases/sales) with other oil companies on the freight market and on the domestic market.

ERG’s Logistics System is one of the most extensive in Italy and it is strategically positioned for the distribution of petroleum products across the whole of the country.

Delivery of the products from the depots to the Retail outlets is carried out using a fleet of tanker lorries owned by eligible third-party road haulage companies which hold certification in line with the ADR regulations (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road).

LOGISTICS SYSTEM

ERG’s Logistics System is complex and consists of various structures owned by ERG or by its subsidiaries; three of these structures are adjacent to the ISAB, Sarpom and Rome refineries respectively.
Moreover, ERG makes use of numerous third-party terminals (more than 30) in order to cover the whole country.

The main structures are:

• loads by land from the Trecate, Rome and ISAB refineries, which supply the Retail and Wholesale businesses in the area;
• the S. Martino di Trecate and Arluno depots, both connected to the Sarpom Refinery, which supply the Retail and Wholesale businesses respectively and which cover an extensive hinterland in Lombardy and Piedmont;
• the De.Co. depot, connected to the Rome Refinery, in which holds a 25% share and which it uses to supply the Retail Networks in Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo;
• the SIGEMI system, in which holds a 26% share, which consists of the structures and oil pipelines interconnecting San Quirico (Genoa), Arquata Scrivia (Genoa) and Lachiarella (Milan);
• the Savona coastal depot, which can be supplied by sea or by oil pipeline from the Trecate Refinery, serves the Wholesale businesses in Piedmont and Liguria; there is also a finished oil production plant at the depot.

SIGEMI

Clients are kindly advised that, following the necessary reorganisation of the SIGEMI logistic system, overland freight activities (tanker truck loading) of San Quirico - Genoa Depot will be permanently wound up as of 1 July 2009.

With reference to the last call published, we confirm that the period within which to express your eventual interest expired.
